Welcome!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the new blog site for WVU's Women Against Rape. Here you will find information about how to contact us, what events we have planned, what PROTECT is and what to do if you're ever sexually assaulted.

What is WAR? WAR is a brand new organization at West Virginia University looking to bring about sexual assault awareness and promote the free self-defense classes offered by the University Police Department, known as PROTECT.

Who are we? We are a group of WVU students dedicated to empowering women and giving them the skills needed to protect themselves.

Why do we exist? We exist because every woman has the right to protect herself in any situation. Our goal is to teach women safety tips and give them the skills needed to incapacitate their assailant and escape.

How to join WAR? The group is open to all WVU students. Anyone interested in joining can contact one of our officers or e-mail us at wvuwar@gmail.com.
